    I use this when I travel, particularly overseas. I also have a US Anker GAN power brick with three power ports. So the bagel gives me an adapter, extension cord, an easy to plug for my GAN charger so it does not fall out of the wall.

  • @Andorski
    @Andorski 5 годин тому

    Been using the super bagel for over a year now but i recently got a new laptop that has a power brick with a three prong outlet, so now I'm considering finding a travel power strip that has grounding terminals.

    • @CryingCroc.
      @CryingCroc. Годину тому

      Or buy a single plug adapter that converts from three prong to two prong. Then you can continue using your super bagel. Otherwise, a multiple three-prong power strip will take up far more space?

  • @Ducayneau

    Interesting. It would be great if that adapter company made variations for inputs from other world regions.

      @@OneBagTravels I see. Did you know there are 15 different socket configurations worldwide - but most all of them will accommodate either the flat-prong US plug or the round-prong EU plug> In other words, with just US (type A) and EU (type C) plugs - you have 192 of the world's 197 countries wall sockets covered! And if you add Aus (type I) - that raises the total to 196 covered! The ONLY country with its own truly unique and non-compatible socket is South Africa. And to my knowledge, because of its uniqueness, None of the so-called "universal" plug adapters is good there - you have to buy a separate, dedicated plug adapter! Good thing I've already visited S.A. - so no worries for me. 😁 I quite like the bagel's center adapter - and would even buy one if the price was a lot lower. As for the ring, I don't think I would have any use for it. My appliances all have USA plugs - so I really don't have anything to utilize the ring's international sockets. Do you? And as you mentioned, the USB slots on the ring are pretty underpowered.

    Absolutely amazing. I was really wondering whether to get the farpoint 40 + a daypack or the farpoint 55. Great to see that going the route of the 40 + a daypack is a waste of money unless you have a very niche need for a daypack with features that the includes one doesn't offer

      Not really, we rented a car in Quepos so I didn't have to deal with traffic in San Jose. Generally roads are in good condition, they have highways but a lot of the roads are steep and windy. If anything you tend to get stuck behind trucks and end up going slow.

    Hello OneBagTravels. Many thanks for all the time you've invested in producing the content. Super helpful!!! After quite a bit of time trying to select a bag that will allow me to use it as a personal item when traveling on EasyJet in EU, I've narrowed it down to either Thule Aion 28L or Evergoods CTB26... I like the CTB26 as it has two water bottle pockets, is a very functional design, has great reviews and seems like it will sneak in as a personal item if not crammed to the gills. Similarly, I like the Thule Aion 28 as it also looks to sneak in as personal item, has good organization, one water bottle pocket, but does have a 'wet' area section which could be useful if you worry about shampoo getting out or something. I'm about 189cms and wonder if you have any further insights that might help me make a decision? Additionally, I was able to try the osprey sojourn Porter 30 and really wanted to keep it, but it was not tall enough for the hip belt to work properly. Many thanks!!!

    Very nice!!! A few years back, I budgeted two months for Central America from Belize to Panama. Even 'rushing' a bit at times, I only made it (barely) to Nicaragua! 'Tiny' CA has so much to offer! After viewing your video, I MUST get to Costa Rica! 0:00 It tickles me a bit how 'my' blue Ecohub backpack (shown lower right in your back wall) is just a fraction the size of the Minaal pack right behind it! And I only pack it 2/3rd full. Thus far, I've used it for month-long hosteling trips to Afghanistan/Pakistan and to the southeast US (riding Greyhound buses from Indiana to W Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi). God willing, I will be heading to the Middle East later in the year - and I will be using the Ecohub again. I am still amazed that after all the fancier packs like Eagle Creek/Osprey/etc. - I've settled for this el cheapo Ecohub! It's not everyone's cup of tea for sure - this bland pack is guaranteed to turn no heads, but a no name, low profile pack with lots of features, lightweight and comfy to wear is just the pack for me. Looking forward to your review.

    Best review I have seen on GR2! Question does that mean the GR2 34L would not be allowed as a carry on? Looks like carry on will be accepted now. But under the seat it will not fit. Per these rules… Including wheels and handles, carry-on bags must not exceed 22" L (55.88 cm) x 14" W (35.56 cm) x 9" H (22.86 cm). Under the seat: Personal items must not exceed 17" L (43.2 cm) x 13" W (33 cm) x 8" H (20.32 cm).

      About 500 sanities. But assuming you meant the fabric weight? 1000D Cordura is one of the thickest, most durable fabrics available. 500 is still very good and probably more than sufficient for virtually every use of a travelbackpack, but it's a little thinner than the 1000.

    I’ve been using plastic grocery bag, thick ones, as sink stopper, to handwash small items. Afterward drip-dry in the shower, then burrito wrap, then it’s dry enough to hang in the closet to dry overnight. Large items may have to be washed in the shower, but not while wearing them.

    still helping people out in June 2024! Got my Patagonia black hole duffel 100 liter duffel bag today delivered in the mail. Had to look up how to put the backpack straps on! Came across your video! You wise guru. Idk what version or model i have [the 2024 version] but there doesn't seem to be any compression straps on the outside nor inside of the bag! 😢

    Please do a review for the north face base camp duffel XS, I feel that's one of the one of the most slept on duffel packs that can be versatile especially as a personal item

      @@OneBagTravels please do! Lol I'm shocked as well that there's not many reviews on the base camp duffel as well but I done traveled with it alot that I used it as a personal item with spirit, jetblue, delta and frontier even tho with frontier it's a bit more risky cause their personal item sizers are slightly tighter cause they're more anal about their bag policies but the base camp duffel proved to be good in those cases if packed right, I feel it's a bit better than that Cotopaxi alpa 28l with an inch shorter in length, slight bigger in depth and width but soft enough to squish along with compression straps to compress the bag even more

    Is the material on the Thule Aion not scratched? It seems that its material is not scratch resistant

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels 11 днів тому

      It's waxed canvas, it's not a scratch in the bag, it's just the way the fabric wears. It looks better the more you use it but takes awhile to bread in.

      @@Ali-nl5xv It's not a scratch as in the fabric is being harmed, it's aesthetic. But not everyone likes the waxed canvas look so I can see that.

    Why 5L? What if you wash your jacket/sweater/pants? If you use a 20-30L dry sack, then it can be rolled up to any size if necessary.

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels 13 днів тому

      Good point, 5L is good for socks, underwear and a t-shirt or two, but too small for larger clothes.

    Nice review! I’ve got a CT15 that works really well for edc and the CT21 V2 and just got the V3 in ripstop nylon. They have outstripped Goruck on improvements - hi viz lining, organization in front slash pocket, elastic water bottle pockets on the inside, quick access pockets on the back. Quality is probably 95% of Goruck with price at about 1/4 the cost. I paid $29 for delivery and all shipped from Texas. Very comfortable carrying these bags!

      They could be, that's the rumor but I haven't found anyway to verify that. Either way a lot of high quality bags are made in Vietnam so they're certainly capable of making a good pack.

    Just a quick correction for you. The zippers are a custom collaboration between PD and Zoom, not YKK. Great review though. The packing peanuts thing is genius.

      Yes, when I see a big high quality zip I immediately think YKK so for some reason I insist on calling them YKK even though they're not 🤷‍♂️
